Chances are, it was the last time you flew on a commercial airliner. The airlines are some of the world’s biggest users of retreaded tires. About three out of four commercial aircraft tires are retreaded. Aircraft tires are mostly bias construction (about 80 percent) and are frequently retreaded six times or more.
