Blue Angels High on Retreads

Blue Angels High on Retreads

Blue Angels High on Retreads

All types of aircraft, from the U.S. Military--including the Navy's famous Blue Angels (the World's Premiere Jet Precision Aerobatic Flying Team)--to the major commercial airline companies, land on retreaded tires.

Before a retread leaves the plant, it must pass a very rigid laser holography inspection. The retread is again inspected by an airline engineer before the mechnic mounts it on the airplane. Not only is the inspection process thorough; but a record of each tire by serial number is kept throughout its life history.

Retreaded tires are also used by school buses, emergency vehicles, race cars, taxis and by millions of motorists.
