"Understanding Retreading" is produced by ITRA* (International Tire & Rubber Association), to improve the public's knowledge of the retreading process. Chapters include: Why Retread, The Retread Industry, and all 6 steps of the Retread Process, with photos. TRIB will arrange a tour of a retread plant in your area and arrange for a speaker as part of a group meeting. E-mail us, info@retread.org and tell us where, when, and how many persons. ITRA * Please Note: In 2002, The International Tire & Rubber Association/ITRA merged with the Tire Association of North America/TANA and is now known as The Tire Industry Association/TIA.
